My entire professional life has been in tourism, an industry which continues to inspire, entertain and challenge me.

Since commencing my consultancy in 2008, I’ve drawn on my 25+ years experience to deliver advice and services to tourism businesses and events. It was early in my consultancy, that I worked to establish a stronger link between events and tourism to grow visitor length of stay and to improve visitor access – there is still much to be achieved in this area, especially for regional areas.

My years working in retail travel along with management roles in wholesale travel and airlines, have ensured my deep front-line understanding of the Trade distribution system. The more recent online distribution channels have become a particular favourite for me and I continue to explore the strengths, weaknesses and suitability of these channels for my clients.

I have always had a passion for education and am a believer in lifelong learning – a necessary discipline for smart tourism operators who recognise the need to stay on top of current distribution trends in our exciting industry.  Developing relevant tourism training programs where the learner can see immediate benefits is fundamental to growing our industry.  I have a Bachelor degree in Adult and Workplace education with 10 years tourism training experience and I understand the need for delivering what operators need, when they need it.
